Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Xbox

Star Wars fans have reason to rejoice as the much-anticipated sequel to the highly-acclaimed Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, titled Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, is set to expand its reach to Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Xbox One & PS4 consoles.

Initially released exclusively for current-gen consoles in early 2023, the absence of last-gen versions left many fans disappointed. However, developer Respawn and publisher Electronic Arts have surprised the gaming community by announcing that they are currently in the early stages of bringing the game to the previous-gen consoles.

A Seamless Transition to PS4 and Xbox Series X/S

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was well-received by owners of the next-gen consoles, PS4 and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Xbox Series X/S. Game director Stig Asmussen had previously explained that this decision allowed the development team to leverage the superior processors and memory of these systems, resulting in an enhanced gameplay experience.

This move garnered the appreciation of current-gen owners but left PC gamers feeling less than satisfied due to a lackluster PC port.

Challenges with the PC Port

The PC version of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor faced significant optimization issues at launch, leaving it riddled with bugs and performance problems. The game’s frame rate dips made it nearly unplayable for many PC users.

However, in response to community feedback, the development team diligently worked on multiple patches to improve the game’s performance and iron out the gameplay issues. Presently, the game stands at patch 6.5, showing substantial fixes and improvements.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Xbox One & PS4 Versions Announced

In a surprising turn of events, Respawn and Electronic Arts have announced the development ofStar Wars Jedi: Survivor Xbox One & PS4 consoles.

This unexpected move aims to bring the thrilling Star Wars experience to a wider audience, including those who are still using the previous-gen consoles. While further details on the differences between the current-gen and last-gen versions are yet to be revealed, this announcement of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Xbox version has sparked excitement among fans who were previously left out.

The Issue of Massive File Size

One concern that previous-gen console users may face is the game’s massive file size. It is unusual for games on older consoles to exceed 100 gigabytes. While some titles like Red Dead Redemption 2, Final Fantasy 15, or Call of Duty have surpassed this mark, it remains a rarity.

Optimizing the game for older consoles may alleviate bugs and frame rate issues, but fans should expect a similar overall experience to what current-gen players have enjoyed.
