Call of Duty’s Haunting Event Offers Players a Chance to Unlock Diablo 4’s Butcher’s Meat Hook
In an exciting development for gamers, Call of Duty’s limited-time Haunting event is currently underway, offering players a unique opportunity to unlock a special weapon known as The Butcher’s Meat Hook. What makes this Special weapon in Diablo for COD Players crossover even more intriguing is that this eerie weapon can also be used in the acclaimed action RPG, Diablo 4.
Diablo 4, which had an incredibly successful launch earlier this year, became Blizzard’s fastest-selling game ever, boasting over 10 million copies sold. Now, the game has transitioned from its first season of content, Season of the Malignant, to its eagerly awaited second season, aptly titled Season of Blood.

Meanwhile, in the world of Call of Duty, the Haunting limited-time event has been kicked off, bringing a delightful assortment of spooky crossovers with other popular franchises into Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare 2.
This unique event introduces characters like Spawn, Alucard from Hellsing, Lilith and Inarius from Diablo, Skeletor from Masters of the Universe, and Ash Williams from Evil Dead, among others, into the realms of Season 6 of Call of Duty during The Haunting. Furthermore, the event also features alternate Halloween-themed versions of multiplayer maps such as El Aslio and Embassy, as well as Warzone maps Vondead and the night version of Al Mazrah.
As part of The Haunting event, Call of Duty has unveiled a special Diablo 4 transmog weapon that players can earn in Warzone and subsequently use in Diablo 4. To obtain The Butcher’s Meat Hook, players must own both Call of Duty and Diablo 4, and ensure their Battle.net account is linked to their Activision account.
In-game, players can drop into either Vondead or the night version of Al Mazrah in Warzone to locate, activate, and defend Altars of Lilith scattered across the map. After this, players need to enter the portal leading to the Butcher’s lair and confront him.
The item may take up to four days to appear in players’ Diablo 4 wardrobes and is exclusively compatible with Necromancer scythe weapons. Importantly, players can link their accounts either before or after defeating The Butcher in Warzone, and the item will still be unlocked.
While this crossover between Call of Duty and Diablo 4 is undoubtedly exciting, some gamers are left wondering if The Butcher’s Meat Hook could also become a melee weapon for use in Call of Duty, either as a standalone weapon or as a cosmetic blueprint for the Dual Kamas.
This intriguing crossover has the potential to pave the way for similar collaborations with other Blizzard franchises like Overwatch or Warcraft, where players could earn cosmetics in Call of Duty that seamlessly transfer over to these other titles.
This timely Call of Duty crossover coincides with the launch of Diablo 4’s Season of Blood. As for Call of Duty, Season 6 and The Haunting event will conclude the seasonal support for Modern Warfare 2, with all eyes turning towards the imminent release of Modern Warfare 3, which has recently completed an open beta phase.
The Haunting event promises to deliver thrills and chills to both Call of Duty and Diablo 4 enthusiasts, showcasing the ever-evolving nature of the gaming industry as it continues to captivate players worldwide.
