The recent DreamCon 2023 event served as the platform for NetherRealm Studios to unveil a new trailer that reintroduces Mortal Kombat Geras into the Mortal Kombat universe. Geras, who first made his mark in Mortal Kombat 11 as Kronika’s loyal servant, now reprises a different role. In Mortal Kombat 1, he becomes the protector of the Hourglass, the mystical artifact used by Liu Kang to defeat Shang Tsung.

Moreover, the trailer also suggests a budding friendship between Liu Kang and Geras, although it stops short of providing further details. The announcement of Geras’s return was a surprise for fans, but it has been received with considerable excitement. This comes after 6 new Mortal Kombat challengers were introduced previous week.
